Growing a New Creative Adventure
Hello, Creatives!
If you've been following along for a while, you know I tend to have my hands in a lot of creative projects, whether i’m painting, drawing, in the garden, reading, learning music, out in nature, or experimenting with some new DIY idea...
Lately, I’ve been working on something new behind the scenes, and I’m really excited to share a glimpse of what’s coming next!
Succulents
My newest creative idea involves growing and selling succulents, by repurposing charming mugs or vintage containers, and turning them into beautifully arranged succulent planters.
I am pleased to share that I have obtained my Texas Nursery Floral Class 2 License, allowing me to formally expand and operate this business idea at the next level.
My current nursery stock includes a diverse selection of succulents and plants, such as Golden Sedum, Ruby Glow Peperomia, Ghost Plant Hybrid, Jade Plant, Ripple Jade, Christmas Cactus, Gollum Jade, Panda Plant, and Elephant Bush.
I hope my former work as a naturalist will give me an advantage, or at least a green thumb!
‘Blind Date’ Books
From reading The Magic Tree House as a child to enjoying novels like The Midnight Library today, I've always loved the magic of a good story.
I've been working on creating mystery book bundles wrapped in brown craft paper, filled with thoughtful goodies and personalized artwork.
Each package may include hand drawn bookmarks and stickers, tea, and other cozy surprises designed to create a relaxing reading experience.
I’m hoping to gather inspiration from Pinterest, and see how creative I can get with this.

Candles
If you've followed my artwork over the years, you know I love to paint! Can you imagine how cute painted taper candles could be?
Recently, I've been experimenting with hand-painted taper candles featuring classic Americana themes (think American flags and rustic country charm), and warm, comforting color palettes.
They're still in the early stages, but my plan is to sell them in pairs of 2, wrapped together with twine or ribbon, and to include a warning label (how fancy, I know).
Markets & Fairs
One of my biggest goals is to participate in local farmers markets, flea markets, and arts and craft fairs throughout Central Texas.
I love the idea of setting up a booth where people can stop by, chat about art, books, and plants, and maybe find something that makes them smile.
While I'm still very much in the beginning stages, every project starts with a single step. Right now, I'm focused on growing plants, developing products, gathering supplies, and finding myself as an artist all over again. I love it!
Thank You for Being Here
Like any garden, these ideas need time to grow. I'm excited to see where they lead and grateful to have you along for the ride.
Thank you for supporting my creative journey and for encouraging me to continue exploring new ideas. I'm excited to share updates, photos, successes, lessons learned, and plenty of behind-the-scenes moments as this adventure continues to grow.
All the best,
Alexis Nicole
